Board of Elections Appointments
The Long County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for two appointments to the Long County Board of Elections.
Individuals interested in serving must be residents of Long County and meet all qualifications required by Georgia law. Board members are responsible for overseeing elections and voter registration activities within Long County.
Petition for Board Appointment and Acknowledgement and Attendance Policy Agreements may be obtained from the Long County Board of Commissioners Office located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, Georgia, during normal business hours or on our website at www.longcountyga.gov. Link to form is provided on the Opportunities page.
Completed forms must be submitted no later than June 30, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Firefighter
The Long County Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Firefighter.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, valid Georgia Class E driver’s license, and possess Firefighter I Certification. Applicants must pass a background check, drug screening, and submit a Motor Vehicle Report for the last 3 years.
Applications are available at the Long County Commissioner’s Office or online at www.longcountyga.gov. Please submit your application and proof of certifications to Fire Chief Chris Moss at longcountyfire@longcountyga.gov or you submit them in person at the Commissioners Office located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316.
