Job Opening: County Manager
Location: Long County, Georgia

Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Overview
The Long County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for the position of County Manager.
This individual will serve as the chief administrative officer of Long County and is responsible for overseeing County departments, managing the day-to-day operations of County government, and reporting directly to the five-member Board of Commissioners. Long County has adopted a Strong County Manager form of government.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the work of all County departments and staff.
Implement policies and directives of the Board of Commissioners.
Prepare and manage budgets, reports, and County programs.
Ensure compliance with County policies and applicable laws.
Represent the County in meetings and community functions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field (preferred).
Experience: Proven leadership and administrative experience in local government or public service.
Skills: Strong organizational, financial management, and communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report (MVR) prior to employment.
Compensation and Benefits
Full-time County employee position.

County vehicle provided for business purposes.
Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
