Facility Maintenance & Athletic Coordinator

The Long County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Recreation Director. This position oversees daily facility maintenance, coordinates athletic leagues and programs, supervises staff, and supports department operations and community events.

Applicants must have experience in recreation, athletics, or facility management; the ability to work evenings and weekends; a valid driver’s license; and must pass a background check and drug screening.

Salary: $32,000–$40,000, depending on experience.

NOW HIRING: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the County Clerk or assigned administrative supervisor. The Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for phone calls and walk-in customers while providing administrative and clerical support to the County Clerk’s Office.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of customer service principles

• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills

• Ability to interact with the public in a polite and professional manner

• Ability to handle and defuse stressful situations

• Basic knowledge of mathematics

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or acceptable equivalency
