PUBLIC NOTICE – TOWN HALL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold a 4th Quarter Town Hall Meeting for the purpose of providing updates and receiving public input on county matters.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Walker Gym.
All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend and participate.
This meeting is open to the public.
PUBLIC NOTICE – PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the County is seeking applicants for appointments to the newly established Planning and Zoning Board for the County - Unincorporated Areas.
One (1) individual from each district will be appointed to serve on the Board.
Interested citizens who reside in the unincorporated areas of the County are encouraged to apply. Application packets are available through the Commissioner’s Office and must be completed and submitted no later than 5:00 PM Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Appointments will be made by the Board of Commissioners at a later date.

PUBLIC NOTICE – FINAL JOINT PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Joint Planning and Zoning Board will hold its final meeting.
The meeting will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Long County Board of Commissioners office located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316.
The purpose of this meeting is to conduct final business of the Joint Planning and Zoning Board.
All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend. This meeting is open to the public.
PUBLIC NOTICE – FY27 BUDGET WORKSHOPS, HEARINGS, AND ADOPTION
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold a Budget Workshop, Public Hearings, and consider adoption of the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Budget.
The schedule is as follows:
· Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 PM – FY27 Budget Workshop
· Tuesday, June 2 at 11:30 AM – 1st FY27 Budget Public Hearing
· Tuesday, June 2 at 5:30 PM – 2nd FY27 Budget Public Hearing
· Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 PM – Regular Monthly Meeting & FY27 Budget Adoption
All meetings will be held at the Long County Board of Commissioners Office located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316. The purpose of these meetings is to review the proposed FY27 Budget, receive public comment, and consider final adoption.
All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend and be heard. A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection at the Commissioner’s Office during regular business hours.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold the first public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Budget.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11:30 AM before the Board of Commissioners, located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed FY27 Budget.
All interested persons are invited to attend and express their views. The proposed budget is available for public review at the Commissioner’s Office during normal business hours.
PUBLIC NOTICE – FY27 BUDGET HEARING (2nd Hearing)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold the second public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Budget.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 5:30 PM before the Board of Commissioners, located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive additional public comments on the proposed FY27 Budget.
All interested persons are invited to attend and express their views.
PUBLIC NOTICE – FY27 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING & ADOPTION (3rd Hearing)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold the third and final public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Budget, at which time the budget is scheduled for adoption.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:00 PM before the Board of Commissioners, located at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, GA 31316.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive final public comment and to consider adoption of the FY27 Budget.
All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard prior to adoption.
PUBLIC NOTICE – CIE PUBLIC HEARING (1st Hearing)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the Capital Improvements Element (CIE).
The hearing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 5:30 PM before the Board of Commissioners.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public input and consider the proposed Capital Improvements Element annual update.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend and be heard.
PUBLIC NOTICE – CIE PUBLIC HEARING (2nd Hearing)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners will hold the second public hearing on the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) and Adoption of Transmittal Resolution.
The hearing will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM before the Board of Commissioners.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive additional public input prior to final consideration of the CIE.
