LONG COUNTY ZONING AND PLANNING

Notice is hereby given that the following matters are scheduled for consideration at the Long County Zoning and Planning meeting on August 17, 2026, located at the Long County Commissioners Office at 468 S. McDonald St., Ludowici, Ga 31316. 

Z080126-04 – REZONING REQUEST

The Long County School Board is requesting to rezone a portion of Parcel 081 004 004, consisting of approximately 80+ acres located on Arnold Road, from AF (Agricultural Forestry) to C-2. The purpose of the rezoning request is for the development of a new school.

Z080126-03 – REZONING REQUEST

The Long County School Board is requesting to rezone Parcels 063 057, 063 042, and 063 043, consisting of approximately 144+ acres located on Barrett Cemetery Road, from AF (Agricultural Forestry) to C-2 Multi-Purpose. The purpose of the rezoning request is for the development of a new school.

TIBET ROAD SUBDIVISION – PHASE 2C

A request for approval of Tibet Road Subdivision, Phase 2C, will be considered at the August 17, 2026, Zoning and Planning meeting.

Z072026-02 – REZONING REQUEST

A request has been submitted to rezone Parcel 088 002, consisting of approximately 33+ acres, from AF (Agricultural Forestry) to C-1. The purpose of the rezoning request is for the development of an outdoor event center for private and public gatherings.

Z07226-01 – REZONING REQUEST

A request has been submitted to rezone Parcel 054 055 001, consisting of approximately 226+ acres, from AF (Agricultural Forestry) to R-1. The purpose of the rezoning request is for the development of residential homes along Palmer Road and the surrounding area of the parcel.
